Removals crew loading on moving day

Knowing the shape of the day removes most of the anxiety. Here's how a typical house move runs with our crew.

Morning: arrival and load

The crew arrives, walks the property with you and agrees the loading order. Heavy furniture and anything going deepest into the van goes first; boxes and soft items fill the gaps.

While loading runs, you handle meter readings, the final sweep and the key logistics with the agent.

Midday: the handover gap

The most unpredictable part of any move is waiting on keys. We plan for it — the van is loaded and secure, and the crew can hold or make a start on the drive depending on the distance.

Afternoon: unload and placement

  • Beds and large furniture go in first so rooms are usable that night.
  • Boxes are placed by the room label — that's why labelling matters.
  • Anything dismantled at the old house is rebuilt before we leave.
  • A final walkthrough confirms nothing is left in the van.
