Removals: the questions we get asked most
Do you move people out of the North East?
Yes. We carry out long-distance removals as well as local moves across the region.
Can you pack for me?
Yes. Packing is available for the whole house or just the kitchen and loft.
How far in advance should I book a full house removal?
Two to four weeks is comfortable for a weekday move and six weeks if you need a Friday or a month end date. If your completion date is already fixed, tell us as soon as you know it and we will hold the slot.
Are my belongings insured during a house removal?
Yes. Every removal we carry out is fully insured, with goods in transit cover while your things are in our care and public liability cover while we are working in either property.
Do you dismantle and rebuild beds and wardrobes?
Yes. Beds, flat pack wardrobes, tables and anything that will not clear a stair fully built are dismantled on the day and rebuilt at the new address as part of the job.
What happens if my completion is delayed on the day?
It happens more often than people expect. We keep the load secure in the van or move it into our storage overnight, and we will not leave you standing in a car park with a lorry full of furniture.
Is the quote fixed or does it change on the day?
The quote is the price. The only thing that changes it is a significant change you tell us about, such as extra rooms or a second address added after we quoted.
