Our removal van hire gives you a van and a driver by the hour while you and your helpers do the loading, which is usually the most cost-effective way to move if you have the manpower. The van and driver come from our Birtley yard, seven days a week from 8am to 8pm, so there is no self-drive paperwork or unfamiliar vehicle to handle.

Is this self-drive van hire?
No. A driver comes with the van; you provide the people who load and unload it.
What if I need help lifting after all?
Book our man and van service instead, where two or three movers come with the van.
What exactly is a you load service?
We provide the van and the driver, and you pack and load it yourself. You save the cost of a crew and still avoid driving a large vehicle across the country.
How long do I get to load?
We agree a loading window before the day so nobody is watching the clock. Tell us realistically how long you need.
Is my load insured if I loaded it myself?
Goods in transit cover applies while we are carrying it, but items packed or stacked badly by the customer are the one area where care matters most, so we will give you loading advice up front.
Can you help with the heaviest items only?
Yes. Plenty of customers load the boxes themselves and ask us to handle the sofa, the fridge and the bed.
