Will you tell me if a piano cannot go through my stairway?
Yes. If the route is not safe we say so before you book rather than halfway down the stairs.
Can you move an upright piano upstairs?
Often yes, but never without checking first. Stair width, turns, bannisters and the landing space decide whether it is safe, so we survey the route before quoting.
Do you move safes and gun cabinets?
Yes, with the right crew size, skates and boards, and a floor protection plan at both ends.
Is specialist item work insured?
Yes, goods in transit and public liability cover both apply. For an unusually valuable instrument or antique, tell us the value before the day.
Will a piano need retuning after a move?
Almost always, whoever moves it. Movement and a change of room temperature and humidity affect tuning, so plan a tuner a couple of weeks after you settle in.
What if the item cannot be moved safely?
We will say so before you book. It is a much better conversation than the one that happens halfway down a staircase.
